Michael Mashburn

Managing data, client trading, and assisting in overall investment operations, Michael plays an integral part in the investment management at Briaud. After 15 years in corporate accounting, the passion to help others led Michael to pursue a role within the financial planning community. Seeking to join a dynamic team, whose client-centric focus was paramount, Michael joined Briaud Financial Advisors as the Portfolio Administrator in 2022.

Michael is a graduate of The University of North Carolina at Greensboro, holding a bachelor’s degree in Finance. With a strong background in financial system implementation and accounting projects, Michael provides next-level insight and expertise to our back-end processes.

Michael is a dedicated husband and father of two amazing children. When he is not coaching or watching his children compete in athletics, he enjoys spending time with friends, serving at his church, and all things Tar Heels.
