Peggy joined Briaud Financial Advisors in 2007 where she excels as an advisor, serving many happy clients. In addition to her broad financial planning knowledge, Peggy has specific expertise in Social Security and tax planning.

Before joining Briaud, Peggy worked for 10 years with a national financial planning firm providing comprehensive fee-only financial advice. She has also worked in tax accounting and trust services roles.

Peggy is a National Association of Personal Financial Advisors (NAPFA)-Registered Financial Advisor where serves as a presenter in the organization’s Financial Planning Fundamentals education program at national conferences. She has been quoted in industry publications, including Investment News magazine, The Wall Street Journal, CNBC.com and Kiplinger’s Retirement Report. Peggy is a graduate of Texas A&M University, where she earned a Bachelor of Business Administration and a Master’s Degree in Architecture with directed studies in community/urban design.

Peggy is the proud mother of Maxwell Smart Sherman, a Cairn terrier mix (think Toto) adopted from the Aggieland Humane Society where she is a member of the board of directors and currently serves as treasurer.
